Sabrina M.
Founder & President
Sabrina founded Gathering Stars with the mission of creating a more inclusive, supportive, and welcoming community for individuals with special needs. As president, she leads the organization’s event planning, outreach, volunteer coordination, and public relations while working to create meaningful experiences where every individual feels celebrated, valued, and included.
Wesley B.
Vice President
Wesley joined Gathering Stars to help create a welcoming and inclusive environment for individuals with special needs. Through her involvement in the club, she has had the opportunity to connect with new individuals, collaborate with fellow students at Los Gatos High School, and contribute to creating meaningful experiences that bring the community together.

Vice President
Adrienne joined Gathering Stars because she loves creating moments that make people feel genuinely welcomed and included. She was inspired by the club’s positive energy and the meaningful connections it builds within the community. Through the club, she hopes to help create memorable experiences where everyone feels supported, comfortable, and valued.

Olivia Bernholz joined Gathering Stars to help spread awareness about the importance of creating a safe, welcoming, and kind environment for individuals with special needs. As Vice President, she enjoys taking on a leadership role within the club while learning more about mental disabilities and how to better understand, support, and connect with others in the community.

Treasurer
Jenna joined Gathering Stars because she has always cared deeply about individuals with special needs and enjoys building connections with them. She believes everyone deserves to feel included, supported, and appreciated. As treasurer, Jenna manages the club’s spending and budgeting while helping support the meaningful and welcoming community Gathering Stars creates.

Kiley joined Gathering Stars because she enjoys helping others and giving back to her community. As the club’s secretary, she keeps the organization organized by taking meeting minutes, recording important notes, and helping the club stay on track during planning and events. She values being part of a club that creates meaningful experiences while making a positive impact on the community.

Why We Started
Gathering Stars was founded with the goal of creating a more inclusive and welcoming community for individuals with special needs.
What started as a simple idea quickly turned into a movement built on friendship, connection, and joy.
Sabrina recognized that many high school students lacked opportunities to connect with individuals with special needs, which often created unnecessary social barriers. Through Gathering Stars, she hopes to bring people together in ways they may never have experienced before while encouraging kindness, inclusion, compassion, and genuine friendship throughout the community.
At its heart, Gathering Stars exists to help every individual feel
valued, accepted, and welcomed exactly as they are.
